Procedures: Endoscopic vessel harvest, first assisting, groin cutdown, venous/arterial access for CBP, ECMO, IABP, echocardiography, chest tube and PEG placement, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy, thoracentesis
Volume: ~ 2,000 CV cases/yr; ~ 4,400 CV surgical procedures
Rotations: Surgery, critical care, outpatient clinics, cardiology, transcatheter interventions
Conferences: High risk, echo conference, grand rounds, tumor board, M&M, one national conference
Research: Capstone project on research or quality initiative

Program Highlights
Comprehensive Clinical Rotations: Structured experiences in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, critical care, cardiology and perioperative management.
Advanced Procedural Training: Includes endoscopic vessel harvesting, central line insertion, chest tube placement, assisting with minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and more.
Didactic Sessions: Weekly lectures, journal clubs, case conferences, and grand rounds.
High-Volume Experience: Exposure to over 4,000 surgical cases providing extensive practical knowledge in open, minimally invasive, and robotic cases.
